An Introduction to our kitchen via a Sweet Treat: 

Courgette Lemon Drizzle Cake

A tasty way to use those summer courgettes.  

This recipe could also be adapted for pumpkins and other squash varieties. 

My inspiration for this cáca was found here. I tweaked it slightly and substituted the vegetable oil for a combination of butter and rapeseed oil. I also used slightly less sugar in the cake itself and for the 'drizzle'. 

It's a lovely moist cake, very tasty, simple enough to make, and keeps 'em coming back for more.

It never ceases to amaze me - how the sweet, sweet, simple things can bring so much satisfaction and joy:

Mountain Ash trees at the beginning of September and the comforting smells of a cáca milis baking in the oven. Nature works and nourishes in many ways.
